Allright everyone, Soft Arc went out and wrote a decent GUI BBS program that has some amenities and quite A LOT of things that just tick me off. I'll get into that discussion in later Read Me's for different updaters. One of the things that aggravated me the most was the default window size for forms, items, and online text. So, I created this patch with Res Compare (Thanks, Michael Hecht) and ResEdit, my favorite program. These are two great programs and everyone should check these applications out and learn to make great patches like this one!! Well, getting to the point, this patch changes the window size resources to 80 cols., what they should have been set to in the first place; AHEM...Soft Arc!...AHEM....AHEM! This makes telecommunicating much easier and enjoyable. This officially, (in my book) updates your copy of "No Class" to "First Class".... Thanks MJP for the nickname... This SHOULD work on all macs but has been only tested on a Classic II, this is not a drastic update to the program so everything else should work OK. BUT, as always, the usual legal BS stuff applies. There is no warranty here; neither written nor implied. If you think for some reason, that this patcher crashes your mac, don't come whining to me...anyway, I'll tell you that you are smoking crack and that I, a genius, couldn't have made anything that would do that. Oh BTW, do this patch only on a copy of FC Client 2.09 (only works w/ 2.09) just in case your mac crashes (for some odd reason) during the updating process, you won't lose your original app. Well, I think that's about it... oh yes, just kidding about the stuff about No Class up there.....ok? good, now Soft Arc tell your lawyers to lay off me!!!
